Post Jam update 0.2.0!


Hey everyone! This is the update for after the game jam! I changed a lot of under-the-hood things, fixed some graphics, and made the gameplay slightly better. Unfortunately, my solution for making "Sac-man" avoid the ghosts still hasn't come to fruition, but overall I have still learned a lot while implementing the changes I've made. 

Here's the patch notes (Which are also included in the game files):

Features:

  • Minor graphical tweaks
  • Made gameplay music quieter
  • Made "Sac-man" faster so now the player just barely outruns it
  • Removed Berry collision which used to make player, ghosts, or "Sac-man" float above the map when spawned right on them.
  • Camera zoomed out for better visibility
  • Camera's spinning animation removed for better visibility
  • Moved berry button to top left of screen
  • Made ghost spawning random (To an extent)
  • Changed "Start" button texts on lose and win screens to "Menu"

Dev-side:

  • Fixed player spawn mechanic
  • Optimized Ghost collision and display
  • Fixed camera location from being parented to the player to a script that places where it needs it, then parents in logic bricks
  • switched many features from bricks to script, mainly ones that depended on randomization
